More Than a Club: Creating Opportunities for Local Youth

For nearly 70 years, the Boys & Girls Club of Evansville has been a place where young people can learn, grow, and discover their potential. Every day, we work to ensure that all youth, especially those who need us most, have access to caring mentors, enriching experiences, and opportunities that help them succeed.

Since opening in 1957, the Club has evolved from serving a small group of local youth to impacting hundreds of children and teens throughout the region each year. Today, we provide year-round programs through multiple Club sites, offering safe spaces where young people can build confidence, develop skills, and form meaningful relationships.

Our work goes far beyond after-school care. We focus on helping youth succeed in three key areas:

Academic Success

From homework help and STEM activities to career exploration and college readiness, we encourage young people to stay engaged in learning and prepare for bright futures.

Healthy Lifestyles

Through sports, recreation, wellness programs, and positive social experiences, Club members learn the importance of making healthy choices and building lifelong habits that support their well-being.

Character & Leadership

We help youth develop strong values, leadership skills, and respect for others. By encouraging service, teamwork, and community involvement, we empower members to become responsible and caring citizens.

A key part of our impact comes from the partnerships we build throughout the community. Schools, businesses, volunteers, donors, and community organizations all play an important role in helping us provide resources, mentorship, and opportunities for young people to thrive.

Every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential. At the Boys & Girls Club of Evansville, we are committed to helping youth build the skills, confidence, and support system they need to succeed today and in the future.

Together, we are building brighter futures, one child at a time.
